Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast Expands Pediatric Emergency Care

Families in Walton County and Destin in need of emergency care for their children now can find it closer to home. As of December 14, 2020, Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast (ASHEC) began offering expanded access to pediatric emergency care, closely supported by the Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart. This new partnership allows for more direct connections between the pediatric ER expansion in Miramar Beach, and the specialists at Children’s Hospital, the region’s only state-of- the-art facility dedicated to infants and children.

Introducing Ascension Sacred Heart Bay’s Regional Clinical Education Center

For over 70 years, Ascension Sacred Heart Bay (ASHB) has been a pillar of the Panama City community and its environs. It was nearly destroyed when Hurricane Michael ravaged the Florida Panhandle in October 2018. Despite personal challenges, its heroic staff evacuated patients and provided emergency care throughout the storm and its aftermath.

Sacred Heart Celebrates New Children’s Hospital

Sacred Heart marked 50 years as Northwest Florida’s only children’s hospital by hosting a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony today for its new four-story, $85 million facility. With 126 beds, Studer Family Children’s Hospital will increase access to specialized pediatric care and put multiple services in one convenient location at 1 Bubba Watson Drive on Sacred Heart’s Pensacola campus. Patient care at the facility is scheduled to begin in May.

Construction of the new Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart is on schedule, with the new four-story facility expected to open in the spring of 2019 on Sacred Heart’s Pensacola campus. Sacred Heart is part of Ascension, the largest non-profit health system in the U.S. and the world’s largest Catholic health system.

23rd Annual Cordova Mall Ball

Tickets for the 2018 Cordova Mall Ball are now available for purchase! Northwest Florida’s largest Mardi Gras ball, the 23rd Annual Cordova Mall Ball will be held Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, from 8 p.m. to midnight at Cordova Mall in Pensacola to benefit sick and injured children at The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart. The event is coordinated by the Krewe of Les Petits Enfants (Order of the Small Children) and presented by Wendy’s.
